ScaleACT-25 Venue: Thoroughbred Park!

ScaleACT-25 will be held at Thoroughbred Park, 1 Randwick Rd, Lyneham.

This fabulous venue offers a huge, well lit space, great amenities, lots of parking, and easy access for locals and those visiting from interstate (including a Light Rail stop only a short walk away).

Light Rail & Walking

For those of you travelling to Thoroughbred Park via Transport Canberra (TC) Light Rail, get off at the “EPIC and Racecourse” stop, head north up Flemington Road and then turn left into Randwick Road. The Thoroughbred Park main entry is only about 500m along Randwick Road (https://cmet.com.au/wp-content/uploads/TC-Light-Rail-Map.pdf).

Parking!

There is HEAPS of parking at our new venue, here's how to find it! :-)

Access to all parking areas is via Randwick Road. We are expecting that the GREEN car-park will be the most popular. To get to it, enter the site via GATE-2, then turn right at the T-junction and park in the paddock on your right. Please leave the closer area (marked in RED below) for people with accessibility requirements.  

The colour-coded parking zones are:

• Red: accessible/disability parking

• Green: general parking (approx. 700 car spaces)

• Blue: general parking (approx. 900 car spaces)

• Grey: general parking (approx. 1500 car spaces)

• Orange: RESERVED for traders - NO General parking here!

• Yellow: RESERVED for vehicle displays - NO General parking here!

Getting to the car-parks

• To access the Red and Green parking areas, enter Gate 2 from Randwick Rd. Turn right at the T-junction. Please Note: Somewhat confusingly, Gate-2 is marked "Australian College of Christianity"! So yes, that's right, but do be on your best behaviour :-)

• To access the Blue parking area, turn right at the access road immediately prior to the gate at the Main Entrance and proceed along the access road through the wire fence.

• To access the Grey parking area (gravel), simply enter from Randwick Rd.

All parking areas are a short walk from the ScaleACT venue.

ScaleACT-25 Entry doors

We've changed things a bit since last year - please note for ScaleACT-25... 

Both Competitors and the general public will enter at the ground-floor doors on the LEFT of the venue (Main Entry in the image abo e) - when you get to the doors, you'll take the LEFT lane if you are a Competitor, General Public will take the RIGHT lane.

If you are trying to locate the Calvin Tan figure painting workshop (ticketed entry) it's up the stairs on the left (see above).
