  • Weathering and battle damage are allowed.

  • Kitbashing is allowed.

  • Modifications to the kit, which includes metal parts, scribing, pla-plates, 3D printed parts, and resin parts are allowed.

  • Resin conversion parts are allowed, so long as, at minimum, it utilizes a BANDAI inner frame/ base kit.

  • FULL RESIN KITS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Entries must have a minimum BANDAI inner frame/ base kit to qualify.

  • Puttying, filling and seam line removal is allowed.

  • Scratch building is allowed.

  • Water decals/ third party decals are allowed, but will not bring any bonuses.

  • A custom base/ diorama scene is allowed, and will bring a bonus.

Mecha:

  • This category has been added due to the increasing popularity of Zoids, Transformers kits etc, which would be out of place if put in the sci-fi category, alongside Star Wars or Macross kits.

  • The Mecha category will open up other unique entries for third-party "Gundam-like" kits, that are not Gundams but not sci-fi as well. A good example of this is the Zero Gravity Judge model kit.

  • Full resin Gundam kits should be entered into the Mecha category. The reason for this is because they do not use a BANDAI inner frame, and thus do not fit the "Gundam" category even though it may be a full resin rendition of a Gundam kit.
