Italeri 1/48 Mirage
First two hours Wings together, cockpit & seat painted ready to go, fuselage ready to go together, nosecone and tanks together, Phew and I’ve had dinner, have to take a break at 8-30 – Lancaster at war on SBS, should be worth a watch (probably no German tanks Tony but might be a few ME109’s)
Doesn’t look like much progress but all ready for paint, a few little setbacks after doing battle with the carpet monster a couple of times, undercarriage very fiddly, sent the ejection seat handle into orbit (it’s still up there) and lost the first replacement to the carpet Monster. This kit is certainly showing its age. Anyway looking forward to the first coat of paint on tonight.

Tip of the day –when using rattle cans don’t spray Mr.Color over Humbrol, it gets real ugly. I’ve only broken the nose probe off 3 times, now reinforced with wire.
Now it’s on with the decals.
At last the miracle is standing on its own 3 legs, Bit of a delay this arvo due to a visit from our niece and her 3 kids, plus drilling a hole in my finger slowed things up a bit (didn’t want to get too much blood on the new paint work).
