The ACTSMS was once again displaying modelling skills and competition entries into this year’s Canberra Show. There were various models on display, including; Union Pacific Railroad Engine (1/72), Star Wars ships, assorted armour, maritime models and a small component of aircraft. The Armour section was most prominent with 15+ entries, all from the stable of ACTSMS members.

 This year’s aircraft submissions were a bit thin on the deck but made up in quality what was lacking in quantity. For the second year in a row, a ship model was awarded Grand Champion for the models section; this was for Phil Keene’s very impressive Sovremeny Destroyer.
