AGM - about 45 minutes of admin, reports and elections to keep us in compliance with our constitution and legal requirements. “Ask not what your club can do for you…”
Guest Modeller: Dave White will talk about modelling in the USA, following his two-year tour over in Washington, DC
September 8th. Society Meeting & Workshop.
Advanced Workshop – Resin Moulding and Casting. Our own Dave Drohan will take you through the process of how he casts models and parts in resin, including making masters from scratch or by modifying existing kit parts, how to make moulds, and what materials he uses for casting. If you saw his French AFVs last month, you’ll realise how interesting and useful this skill can be. Assessments: the new ‘Modeller Of The Year’ comp starts this month
October 13. Battle of Britain Presentation. Your Committee has arranged for a Research Officer from the Office of Air Force History to present a new angle on the famous Battle of Britain to celebrate the 70th anniversary of this pivotal event; this will be an illustrated talk and well worth attending. Theme Display; support our speaker this month with any models illustrating all aspects of The War in 1940.
November 10. Workshop – Ten Minute Techniques. Members Tony Martin, Gary Millias and Ray Bromwich will coordinate a set of ten minute presentations on a variety of subjects like making zimmerit, canopy masking and more.
