Dal Gavan - 1/48 Tamiya Raiden
Dal attempted the Tamiya 1/48 Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden.
Like all Tamiya kits, beautifully presented and should fall together nicely.
Dal uses an old shaving brush to wash parts prior to assembly as it doesn't catch fine parts like a toothbrush can sometimes...
By friday evening, the cockpit was painted and fuselage assembled.
Saturday: the main airframe parts went together, a bit of filling and sanding and Dal did mention something about having to drive 140k to retrive his airbrush and compressor (what did Jerry say about 'being prepared eh?)...
Sunday: initial coats of paint;
Things were looking pretty good until an unexpected family matter intervened, oh, and there was the little mater of A) dropping it and breaking the tail off.
and B) a visit by a red-belly black-snake...
So a Did Not Finish... but lots of fun was had! Thanks Dal!
